About Lake City
Nestled in the heart of the San Juan Mountains, Lake City is a charming and historic mountain town that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, adventure, and small-town warmth. Known as one of Colorado’s hidden gems, it boasts breathtaking alpine scenery, crystal-clear lakes, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a step back in time. Lake City is home to historic buildings from its mining era, friendly locals, and some of the state’s most stunning outdoor experiences. From hiking and fishing to wildlife spotting and scenic drives along the Alpine Loop, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
We began coming to Lake City in the summer of 2020 thanks to Chris’ friend Bekah Burroughs and her family, who own a bed and breakfast there. We quickly fell in love with the town, coming back almost every year since! We are so excited to share this special place with you for our wedding and hope you’ll fall in love with it as much as we have!
